In Dimapur, Nagaland, we work with Viko Ethnic, where the tradition of backstrap weaving continues. The motifs carry the identity of different tribes, passed down through women who still practise this work today. For this fabric, naga weaves are set into handwoven denim, so two lineages of craft meet in a single cloth.
