We work with kala cotton, an indigenous rain-fed variety from Gujarat, woven on handlooms by Laalji Bhikha Vankar, a master weaver in Kutch. The cloth is then tied by hand in the bandhani tradition, each knot pulled tight with thread to hold the dye and release its pattern. The process is slow and precise, giving the fabric both texture and depth. All of our bandhani is dyed with natural colour, drawn from plants.

• Note: The garment may exhibit patchy dyeing and marks as a result of the natural dyeing process. The print may naturally fade due to exposure to sunlight and washing. Dry crocking (the transfer of dye onto other fabrics and surfaces when dry) may also occur. Refrain from pairing this clothing item with light colors until any remaining color has been eliminated, as there might be some color transfer.
