We work with the Pattu weaving tradition of Rajasthan, a time-honoured craft practised by the Meghwal community. Woven on pit looms in a blend of cotton and merino wool, the shawls are built in vivid hues using an extra-weft technique. Their geometric patterns often echo huts, stripes, trees, or birds — forms that have long been part of this weaving language. For this project, the pieces are handwoven by Khema Ram, Dinesh, Shankar Ram, and Kheta Ram of Glocal Weaves, carrying forward the exquisite craftsmanship of their region.
